Rodmaking Classes

If you are a hands on type of person; then you will enjoy our rodmaking classes. You will be taught how to make and rod, and will actually perform all of the tasks required in making your very own bamboo fly rod.

From splitting the cane, prepping the nodes, tapering the strips, gluing up the strips and outfitting the hardware, you are in complete control of the process.

Our teaching philosophy is to show you how the process is done, then step back and let you do it. I will be hovering in the background in case you need assistance, but other than that you will do it all.

You will walk away from this seven day class with a two piece, two tip bamboo flyrod that is ready to go fishing.

There is no better feeling than catching a fish on a bamboo rod that you have made yourself!!!

Classes are held twice a year in our shop, and class size is limited to 3 people. The cost of the class is $1,100.00. Schedule for rodmaking classes in 2005 are:

• September 10-17
• November 5-12
